CPUSpeedDisplay is a teeny application that runs on any notebook Macintosh. It does exactly what it says: It displays the current CPU speed in Megahertz. I originally wrote this utility to aid me in developing MyBattery, but I've posted it as a resource for anybody to use if you ever question the speed your computer is running at.
Most PowerBooks and Duos can be configured to run at two speeds - "full speed", which is obviously faster, and "reduced speed", which is slower but prolongs your battery life. CPUSpeedDisplay reads the current CPU speed and displays it. That's all!
This program runs on any portable Macintosh (Macintosh Portable, PowerBooks, or Duos). It is freeware.
